How was the final episode??
It appeared as if Dolittle was heading to Africa, but stayed put at his clinic. Asuka seemed to be taking a new step to move forward.

"This time, the producer made a casting of people who are always busy, so I think all of us worked through the days lacking sleep, thanks for all the support.
I was able to concentrate well on location as I didn't have to worry about what else was happening around me - it's a staff that I'm comfortable with. Filming on site was quite lengthy this time round, but the relationships with others was like... how do I say this... just familiar. I had many lines (laugh), as an actor it's something I can't run away from, so I studied it carefully. I'm glad to have been involved in a production that's loved by people.

Many animals were involved in this production in the last 4 months.
We began in the blazing September sun, and filming ended in the cold winds in December. Filming started early morning and extended till late night...
We wouldn't have been able to complete this without being united!!

I feel cheated. Where's the rivalry and love triangle?? A waste of such a great cast :(

This is out of the blue but here's a question from Mao-san!!
While Mao-san was filming for Juui Dolittle, she spotted this animal and said excitedly, "How nostalg~ic!!"♪
Now, when and where did this creature make its appearance??
The answer next time...
Well then, Episode 2 of Juui Dolittle airs tomorrow and there will be Masuda-san from NEWS and and also dolphins.

The answer to the question in Mao-san's quiz the other day...
"The chameleon that Doumyouji bought for me when we went on a date to the zoo in Hana Yori Dango Part 1♪"
It was clearly seen on episode 2 the other day too, did everyone notice it?
They appeared at the end of episode 2 too, Ohashi Nozomi-chan and the Shiba Inu Kotetsu♪
On the last day of filming, Nozomi-chan gave Mao-san a letter and a cute Mickey case with sweets in it!!
And here's a cute ferret that will appear in episode 3♪
"So cute~♪," Mao-san gushed over it!
Episode 3 of Juui Dolittle tomorrow is also a wonderful story, so please watch it with your whole family!!

Juui Dolittle ② Hakkeijima Sea Paradise

We went to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise to film Juui Dolittle!!
There were many early morning shoots but the cute dolphins were refreshing for Mao-san and the staff♪
Filming at Hakkeijima Sea Paradise ended safely!!
At the end of it, she received a white whale plushie from the staff there!!
Then she took a souvenir photo together with Oguri-san, Masuda-san and the staff♪
Mao-san has been to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise many times since she was a child so she knew a lot about the rides.
Everyone, please go see the cute and smart dolphins there too♪
Juui Dolittle will air soon, in 5 more days!!!!
We filmed some wonderful scenes with the dolphins so look forward to it when it airs★

We went to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise to film Juui Dolittle!!

Q. What do you think about the script?
I think the drama reflects on people through the lives of animals.
It's a medical drama where life and death are at stake, it's about love, friendship and betrayal. Every episode will deliver different types of emotion, and through them all, these feelings will be conveyed through caring for the animals. It will be a heartwarming medical drama.
Pet owners regard their pets as their own children, I guess it's that type of feeling.
Appearing together with Oguri, acting as rivals, this relationship between Dolittle and Hanabishi is something new for me, so I thought "Working with Oguri in this role might be good... I'll have a go at this character!"
Q. The role of Hanabishi.
Playing the part of a rival, I'll do it as one who's envious and wants to defeat him. In contrast, Dolittle doesn't have the same sentiments towards Hanabishi. Hanabishi is not a competitor in love either. Dolittle is a good, understanding person who makes for a good rival. I think there's a part of them that respect each other.
The producer said that he'd like 'Juui Dolittle' to be a heartwarming drama that deals with small lives. After a discussion of what I perceived my character was in regards to Dolittle, he said "It's a little bit different, but let's do it!".
The staff has been very careful about writing the script to display Hanabishi's sensitive emotions, I think from now on I'll enjoy playing the part!
Q. What's the difference between Dolittle and Hanabishi?
Dolittle is 'tsundere' [laugh]. He might look scary, but he's actually gentle.
Hanabishi isn't like that. His outward emotions tell you what he's feeling inside, and he says what he feels.
Dolittle is reticent, and sometimes hurts people with his words, but Hanabishi will say the things that you want to hear. I guess girls might regard him as the "ideal boyfriend"? He'd be considered as the ideal gentleman.
Q. Any common characteristics between Oguri Shun and Dolittle?
I think he's exactly like that!
He's the type that would be shy at first, there's a barrier. But beneath that he's friendly, warm and can be a great buddy... I think the gap is similar!
Q. Is this the first time you're acting with Inoue Mao?
We've passed by each other in the studio, but it's the first time we're acting together.
We were introduced through Oguri [laugh]. Sitting across each other, he said "This is Narimiya. This is Mao-chan." It felt like an omiai (formal marriage interview) [laugh].
She was shy at first, but these days she's opening up on her own without anyone asking her to [laugh].
Q. Do you like animals?
I do. I like them, but to care for one myself, I'll keep thinking about it and become afraid if I'm able to be a good owner or not. When they're home, I keep thinking if I should put a camera in the house [laugh].
Sometime back I thought of keeping a serval cat, I got as far as preparing a cage for it. I wasn't confident that I could love it like my own child, so I decided against it.
So far, I've had a few pets. A shepherd, a doberman, an American shorthair, a black cat, a hamster, a waterdragon, tropical fish. Right now there's only a decorative plant [laugh]. It's not that I don't like them. I can handle the animal scenes well!
At the time when I had many pets, I had to be careful to be fair to all of them. Even pets get jealous. I thought "They can't be like that," but there were those which went to the extent of sulking [laugh].
"What would touching an animal feel like?" I thought as a child. I was able to explore freely, and keeping them as pets, it has made me understand the importance of life.
Q. What is the highlight of Juui Dolittle?
The determined and gentle Hanabishi Sensei.
He's haunted by a trauma, and he's trying to face it, but it's difficult to overcome it... that's the role I'm portraying.
It's a new role that is challenging to me.
I made my debut working together with Shun a while back, it's been a while but we're able to encourage each other, and I think this will make the drama a good one.
The first episode of Juui Dolittle that airs on Sunday, 17 October at 9pm will be an 80 minute special! Don't miss it!

Broadcast of 'Golden Cast'

Thanks to everyone who watched 'Golden Cast' the other day♪
I'm not used to appearing in variety programs, so I was nervous.
With MCs Sawamura Ikki-san, Hayami Mokomichi-san and Ariyoshi Hiroiki-san, I had an enjoyable conversation.
Midway through, there was a VTR message from the cast of 'Juui Dolittle', and soon after recording was over☆
Mokomichi-san's handmade sweets were really delicious!
I had a "tomato and soy jelly".
The presentation was also beautiful, it really looked like the work of a famous pâtissier.
I was really happy with the recipe as I love tomatoes.
This photo was taken in a hotel room with a lovely night view, it was gorgeous and I had a wonderful time♪
Thank you very much to everyone from the 'Golden Cast'!

Poster Photography Report! ~Part 2~
We've kept you waiting!
Many would have already seen it around town, but today it'll be a report on 'Juui Dolittle' poster photography!!
Poster photo released!
First up is...
Narimiya Hiroki who plays Hanabishi Masaru!
"The hamster or the momonga (small squirrel), which would you prefer?" a staff member asked. "Umm..." it was a difficult choice... and Dr Dolittle was peering from behind♪
Which one??
Finally, he chose the momonga!
The momonga is actually one of the staff member's pet! They've already met while filming Narimiya's previous drama 'Yankee-kun to Megane-chan'♪
Are you doing well~? They're buddies♪
But once the photoshoot began, the momonga was moving, moving!
Playing on his back!
Then an active dog running around the studio was placed on his palm...
You're really cute～～☆
Hanabishi's image is of "one who's always smiling", and it seems like Narimiya's getting ahead of his character, smiling endlessly when he's with the pets!
Next is the animal lover! Inoue Mao who plays Tajima Asuka makes her entrance!
Upon entering the studio, she immediately becomes playful with a dog she sees!

Is it OK to hold it like this?
The kitten is still fragile, hold it too tight and it might be scared. Here Mao is getting instructions on how to handle it the proper way!
Even after the photoshoot ended, Mao was inseparable from the kitten.
It's difficult to part... [weeps]
After that she held the momonga and played with the dogs. She was smiling all the time!!
In the poster photograph, the cat was perfectly relaxed! It really got on well with Mao☆
Lastly it's Oguri Shun who plays Tottori Kenichi (Dr Dolittle)!!
When the WEB staff saw Oguri for the first time in the white robe and glasses, we went "Cool!", then "Kakkoi!!"
This is Dr Dolittle's image!!
He's cool, but he showed us his mischievous expression as the syringe spouted water out like a fountain, "Pyuu~"☆
Oguri gave different poses and expressions, one after another.
This time with the dog!
Oguri gave the dog a hug when it wouldn't keep still♪
The photographer and designer look at the photos taken on the monitor.
With this, poster photography for 'Juui Dolittle' is complete!!
We were surrounded by many animals during this photoshoot, and even though filming had not begun, it already felt like we were filming a scene for the drama!
Most of the actors for the Sunday drama 'Juui Dolittle' are animal lovers!
Besides the familiar dogs and cats, 'exotic animals' will also appear in episodes as pets!
In the first episode, Asuka brings the thoroughbred 'Asuka Mirai' to Dolittle's hospital!
The next report will be of Mao filming with the thoroughbred, look forward to it!

Poster Photography Report! ~Part One~
Hello! Web staff here!
This time it will be a report on poster photography♪
It took place sometime in September before filming began...
Because it's 'Juui Dolittle', many animals were involved!
Poster photo released!
The pets getting onto the casts' shoulders belong to a pet jimusho (just like people, pets too have talent agencies!). Some of the cats and dogs are on loan from the pet shop 'Roppongi WAN'♪
Once staff from the pet shop brought in the cute animals, the studio became busy very quickly♪
There are more cages than this!!
Such a lovely cat!
Not only did dogs from pet shop WAN and dogs attached to agencies appear, pride from the respective staff was also overflowing!
It was soothing for the cast and web staff as the animals ran around and made cute animal sounds~♪
More dogs enter!
First up for the photoshoot, Kunimura Jun who plays Director Domon.
An actor with outstanding presence!
Kunimura loves animals too, he has a cat at home♪
He was to take a photo 'with the parrot sitting on top of his palm', that was the plan. However, the parrot began to struggle... So it took a solo photo later on to be joined with Kunimura's...
Intimidating us by spreading its wings??
But it was still once the camera was facing it.
Staff saw the parrot stop moving once the camera began snapping and commented, "Definitely a pro~ [laugh]," praising it.
Next is Ishizaka Koji who plays Professor Tomizawa!
When he entered the studio, a dog struggled free from the staff and he gave it a hug, confirming that he also loves animals!! There was also skinship with the dog he was to take pictures with before the photography session!
Yoroshiku~
The photoshoot begins!! But the dog doesn't stay still...
It's not a surprise, because suddenly it's surrounded by many people, heat from the lights can be scorching and the camera is pointing at it... the situation can be nerve-wrecking [weeps].
Is the dog overwhelmed??

Next up is the report of poster photography for Oguri Shun as Doctor Dolittle, Inoue Mao as Tajima Asuka and Narimiya Hiroki as Hanabishi Masaru!!
