Nodame ♪ Preview Screening
10th December 2009
Yesterday at the Tokyo International Forum. 11 actors from the main cast, including the 2 stars, attended the event dressed in character. It was really amazing as about 4000 Nodame fans cheered on. It was a wonderful Nodame♪ experience. It opens to the public on the 19th onwards, it will be great if many can go watch it. There'll be lots of laughter, and tears. In the dressing room, there was a present from Mister Donut. A photo, a collaboration between Elise and Mister Donut was taken [laugh].

The preview for movie 'Nodame Cantabile Saishu Gakusho Zenpen' was held on 9th December at Tokyo International Forum. Ueno Juri, Tamaki Hiroshi, Wentz Eiji, Becky, Yamaguchi Sayaka, Yamada Yu, Nadagi Takeshi, Chad Mullane, Fukushi Seiji, Kichise Michiko, Takenaka Naoto and Director Takeuchi Hideki got on stage to greet the audience. 4000 fans gave them a standing ovation they entered the hall dressed as their characters in the movie, complete with wigs, fake noses and special make-up.
"We get to stand here in front of all of you and meet you today because the drama is is now a movie. I'm so touched," said a beaming Ueno. Asked about the highlight of the movie, she was hard-pressed to pick one but said,"The battle scene with Yuko-san (Yamaguchi). The scene took about 8 hours to film." About the filming schedule which took them to 4 countries around Europe, she commented,"At first it was difficult. But by the end, I was eating pizza and pasta with no problems at all every day." Tamaki quipped in his Chiaki character,"Talking about food again?"
What was the highlight for Tamaki then? "Chiaki giving everything to rally the hopeless orchestra," he said. Tamaki had scenes where he conducted in the world-famous Wiener Musikverein. "I felt a responsibility to show how he grew as conductor but as time went by I gradually felt more comfortable," he said, ecstatic that he had experienced performing on the holy ground of classical music. Takeuchi, who had also directed the Nodame drama series addressed the audience,"The movie didn't feel much different than the drama. There's a surprise ending to it though, so please don't tell anyone."

Most Played Song of 2009
On 8th December, KDDI and Label Gate released the top 100 most frequently played songs on au's LISMO Chaku Uta Full service. The survey period was from 1st December 2008 to 30th November 2009. The ranking tracks the history of songs played from LISMO's music play list sharing service Utatomo of roughly 1.5 million users totalling 1 billion playbacks.
*Utatomo is a music communication service that searches for another person who is listening to the same music and has similar tastes. The service also creates a play list, performs test listening and facilitates the downloading of music.
*Chaku Uta Full lets users select and download their favorite tunes from compatible sites on i-mode. The service also allows users to set part of the tune to be played as a Chaku Uta ringing song. Users can also download album jacket art and other images with the song.

Full Post »Narumi Riko's competitive streak at card games
On 8th December, actress Narumi Riko (17) attended a press conference at Shibuya for NHK's period drama 'Sakuya Konohana' which starts 9th January next year (every Saturday at 7:30).She plays the lead role as a character who loves Hyakunin Isshu from the late Edo Period. The drama follows her journey as she joins a karuta tournament and advances in the competition. "I've been playing cards since I was young. I hate losing and I'd play while blood drips from my hands," she commented, revealing a surprising side to her.
This is the first appearance in a historical drama for Narumi as well as her co-star Hiraoka Yuta (25), who plays a ronin. "My character is pretty cruel to the heroine. It's not like the nice guy roles I've done so far. It's a new challenge for me playing such an aggressive man," said Hiraoka.

Full Post »Kamikawa Takaya marries former stage actress
Actor Kamikawa Takaya (44) revealed that he is now a married man. His wife is a former stage actress 19 years his junior who retired this year due to poor health. Daily Sports Online refers to her as A-san. They submitted their marriage registration on 4th December. He commented,"As a family man, an actor and an individual I will continue to push myself forward day after day."Kamikawa reported his marriage through a fax from his talent agency. They first met each other about 4 years ago. Kamikawa also appealed for the media for restraint in their coverage as doctors have advised that time is of importance now because of the progression of her illness. There are no plans for a press conference.

Filming Report 2 - Slovakia National Theatre
7th December 2009
Overseas filming starts from Bratislava, Slovakia.
100 extras gather in front of the famous Slovakia National Theatre, the filming location.
(The people behind Mongoose-kun are all the extra-sans)
All the extras are locals.
The staff are from the Czech Republic.
The extras will begin filming soon.
They used to be one country called Czechoslovakia,
but the languages of the Czech Republic and Slovakia are different!
It's akin to the Tokyo and Kansai dialects... that's what they say.
