Memories of Memorable Scenes & Inside Story!
Select 2 [Returns Final Episode Graduation Prom]
The graduation prom at Budoukan was sparked from a remark by Director Ishii.
"In the final episode of Part 1, 1500 viewers enthusiastically heeded 'Tsukushi's Call' at the gathering for Teen of Japan. So we want to prepare a large-scale final episode for Returns that will exceed that. Say, 50000 spectators at Tokyo Dome giving their blessing to the two of them, wouldn't that be a climax scene fit for HanaDan?"
Director Ishii often comes up with unusual ideas and what he said stunned everyone. Frankly at first we thought of how preposterously large-scale this project he was suggesting.
But if we managed to make it work, we thought it might be a last scene in a drama series that was to be remembered in all of television drama history. So we immediately looked up the venue. Tokyo Dome was busy with baseball exhibition games but Budoukan was free, for only one day in March, and it just so happened to be the only day that all of the cast members were free to shoot together.
"God must be giving us a helping hand," we were convinced and so it was decided that Budoukan would be the location.
After that, with everyone's co-operation, the two of them received blessings from 10000 spectators, enabling us to shoot a gorgeous climax scene fit for HanaDan that left a lasting memory.

Memorable Scene 1
From the Producer
To visitors to the homepage,
It's been a long while!!
We are nearing the TV premiere to the conclusion of the HanaDan series, Hana Yori Dango Final.
This is a Christmas present from all of us to all of you who have always given us your support, please enjoy it.
We received overwhelming contributions from everyone for the 'Memorable Scenes from the Drama Series' request. Thank you very much.
From now until the day of the broadcast, I will select scenes which have especially been chosen numerous times by all of you. As I recall memories and inside stories from these scenes, I hope you think back to them fondly.
On the 24th, the day of broadcast, Mao-chan and Jun-kun will also talk about scenes which are memorable to them, so don't miss that!
Memories of Memorable Scenes & Inside Story!
Select 1 [Part 1 Episode 1 Tsukushi's Declaration of War]
It's not an exaggeration to say that HanaDan began with that scene, the climax to Episode 1.
Actually, when the script was first written, Tsukushi's punch and declaration of war was slated about 10 minutes into the story, just before the title opening.
But when we thought about how it relates to Tsukushi and Doumyouji's love story, to how their terrible first encounter finally led to the best partnership, we thought that original first meeting would be a weak set-up. We felt that there wasn't enough portrayed of Tsukushi enduring a year and a half of F4's oppression and not enough shown of F4's tyranny yet.
So after discussing with everyone, we placed Tsukushi's punch and declaration of war as the climax. We decided it would be the best ending for a first episode in a drama series.
The idea of Doumyouji trampling on the bento that Tsukushi's parents so lovingly made also worked well. It made the viewers fall instantly in love with Tsukushi's character and the scene turned out to be one that symbolizes HanaDan.

Visitors to Hana Yori Dango Homepage, it's been a while. Inoue Mao here.
There will be a special present for all of you this Christmas Eve!!
Wow, a no-cut version of the movie Hana Yori Dango Final will go on air for the first time.
For those who have not watched HanaDan, memorable scenes from the drama series will be aired before the movie broadcast. Look forward to that too.
Having had the privilege of doing 2 seasons of Hana Yori Dango, I have many memories of both seasons. In the end, what stood out the most for me in Part 1 was 'the scene where Tsukushi punched Doumyouji.' I was only 18 at the time, and I remembered being really nervous about Jun-kun's 'Doumyouji aura'.
In Part 2, it's 'the scene we parted under the rain.' It is a scene I like and have thought of doing since shooting for Part 1 and to actually be able to do it made me very happy but also...
There was so much rain falling on us, it was very cold and difficult. It left me with vivid memories up to this day.
After the manga and drama series, Tsukushi and Doumyouji's love story finally comes to its conclusion in the movie. It's the final present from HanaDan, so please don't miss the journey of their love in front of the TV!!
Then at the end of the program, there will be a big Christmas present from us, so please watch it right to the end!!
