Horikita Maki at Suntory The Cocktail Award
Actress Horikita Maki (21) acted as a guest judge at the final screening process of 'Suntory The Cocktail Award Cocktail Competition' at a Tokyo hotel on 7th October. "This is the first time I've drunk this much. I'm privileged that I could take part in this experience,"Horikita said, her cheeks flushed.
'Suntory The Cocktail Award' pits bartenders against one another as they show off their creativity and skill. The competition started in 1994 and this year marks the 16th time it is held. At the final screening stage, bartenders who got through the preliminaries presented a total of 24 cocktails in the 'Challenge' and 'Free' category.
Horikita celebrated her birthday on the 6th. "I had a party with my family. It feels a little sad that I'm past 20. I guess I'm now a full-grown adult." On alcohol she said,"I'm not that strong with it, so today I just drank a sip of each. When I'm tipsy, I get happy and laugh too much, it's embarrassing." She also revealed perhaps hope for romance. "I've never been to a bar. I want a cool guy to take me along."
