Mizushima Hiro is new CM character for Mobage
On 24th April, Mizushima Hiro attended a press event at Roppongi Hills Arena to commemorate his appointment as the new CM character for DeNA's social media platform Mobage.
In the CM, Mizushima is relaxing in a coffeeshop when an old man appears in front of him with a Mobage icon on his forehead. When he touches it, he is transported into a strange world.
It has been a year since his last appearance in a commercial and about 7 months since he attended a fan event. In front of the invited fans, he apologized for his absence. "I feel very sorry that there has not been more opportunities like this to meet the fans. I would like there to be more of them from now on." Asked about the company he has set up, he said,"It is run by a small group of people so excuse us if we are progressing slowly. Please watch over us warmly."
It has been some time since Mizushima did a CM shoot. "There was a feeling of rustiness at the beginning but the atmosphere on location was good and it was fun right to the end," he recalled. There was a scene where he fell down 3 metres down a hole. "I didn't get an OK from the director, so I had to do that quite a few times," he said laughing.
Mizushima is also planning a project with DeNA to support victims of the earthquake. "We hope to come up with something that might help them, even if it is just a little. The project is currently in the works and we will make an announcement soon."
